Affordability meets luxury…with an ample helping of history at Cony Flatiron Senior Residences. Located in the heart of historic Augusta, Cony Flatiron is close to shops, restaurants, parks, medical offices, public transportation and other local amenities.
Gardens and common areas, including a fully-restored auditorium, are the perfect spots to socialize with new neighbors.
It’s never too late to go “back to school.” At Cony Flatiron Senior Residences, choose from several spacious apartment layouts in former classrooms, where the high ceilings and painstakingly polished hardwood floors will take you back to the “Good Old Days.”
Cony Flatiron is designed for seniors to live independently. In order to ensure that residents can age-in-place, a service coordinator will be provided to help residents identify and obtain assistance from local community agencies. While many residents will have specialized needs, general topics will include:
How much is rent? What is included in the rent?
The rent ranges are $545 to $790 and may change annually. Heat, hot water and air conditioning are included in the rent. Tenants are responsible for paying for their own electricity phone and cable.
Are pets allowed?
We allow one cat with a one time $300 pet deposit.
How long is the waitlist?
The waitlist for the 1br’s is 6 to 12 months. The waitlist for the 2br’s is well over 2 years.
Is the rent subsidized?
Unfortunately, the rent is not subsidized. The rents are set at specific levels and tenants are responsible for paying the full amount of the rent unless they have a section 8 voucher.
Is there transportation available?
The Kennebec Explorer bus makes 8 stops at Cony Flatiron Senior Residence and charges a small fee to transport within Augusta, Gardiner, Manchester and Waterville. For more information, please visit: http://kennebecexplorer.com/index.htm
