Bagdad Wood offers seniors affordable living in the classic New England town of Durham. Our convenient location is just minutes from Interstate 95 and a short distance from the coast of Maine to the north and the city of Boston to the south.
The large Community Room and community kitchen offer residents a gathering place for music, puzzles, games, socializing and seasonal parties. Sliding glass doors connect the community room to the outdoor patio where residents can sit among the mature trees that surround Bagdad Wood providing plenty of shade and privacy.
Services
Bagdad Woods is designed for seniors to live independently. In order to ensure that residents can age-in-place, a service coordinator will be provided to help residents identify and obtain assistance from local community agencies. While many residents will have specialized needs, general topics will include:

Yes, our wait list is 2-3 years.
Is there an age restriction?
Yes, housing is for persons 62 and older or handicap/disabled.
Is there transportation to the grocery store?
Yes. A weekly bus takes residents to the grocery stores and there is town wide transportation by Wildcat Transit.
What is your smoking policy?
We are a non-smoking facility for guests as well as residents.
